Terms and conditions for Fightcard.live
By accessing or using Fightcard.live at fightcard.live, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the Service.
Description of the Service
Fightcard.live is a web-based platform for managing combat sports events. The Service provides tools for promoters, staff, fighters, and other users to manage fight cards, fighter databases, medical clearance workflows, big screen graphics, spectator app features, and related event management functions. The platform also maintains a public-facing fighter directory and individual fighter profile pages that display fighter records, photos, and career statistics aggregated from events run on the platform.
We provide the platform and tools but do not act as a matchmaker or promoter ourselves. We are not responsible for how events are organized, matchmaking decisions, or compliance with local laws and federation rules.
User Types and Accounts
The platform supports several user roles:
- Promoters and organizations: Users who create and manage events
- Staff: Users associated with promoters who help manage events
- Fighters: Users who create profiles and register for events
- Other roles: Judges, timekeepers, and other event personnel as applicable
Promoters are responsible for the accuracy of event and fighter data they enter into the platform. Fighters must provide accurate information about themselves, including their fight records and personal details.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, breaches of these terms, or fraudulent activity.
Use of the Service and Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
- Use the platform for illegal activities or to organize illegal events
- Upload content that is defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or violates third party rights
- Attempt to access other users' data without permission
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated systems to extract data from the platform without our express written permission
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from Fightcard.live in any way, whether manually or through automated means
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts if users breach these rules. We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.
Data Protection and Privacy
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You can read it here: Privacy Policy.
Fighters and promoters must ensure they have a lawful basis for any personal data they enter about third parties. For medical and ID documents, we act as a data processor for promoters and follow the rules described in our privacy policy.
Payments and Fees
Pricing and billing terms for promoters are provided separately, for example in promoter agreements or on our pricing page. Unpaid invoices may lead to suspension of service. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in your agreement with us.
Intellectual Property
We own the rights to the Fightcard.live platform, including its code, design, branding, and underlying technology. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
You retain rights to your own content, such as logos, fighter photos, and event information that you upload. However, by uploading content to the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide the Service, including on public-facing pages as described in the Public Fighter Directory and Profiles section below.
You must have the rights to any content you upload. You may not upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
Public Fighter Directory and Profiles
Fightcard.live operates a public-facing fighter directory and individual fighter profile pages. These pages display information about fighters who have been registered on the platform by a promoter or by the fighter themselves, including:
- Name, nickname, and nationality
- Profile photo (where available)
- Fight record (wins, losses, draws) aggregated across events run on the platform
- Sport, weight class, and ranking information where applicable
- The name and logo of the promoter(s) the fighter competes under
By registering a fighter on the platform, the promoter confirms that:
- They have a lawful basis to share the fighter's personal information with the platform
- They have obtained any necessary consent from the fighter for their profile and image to be displayed publicly on Fightcard.live and associated public pages
- The fighter information they provide is accurate to the best of their knowledge
By uploading a fighter's profile photo, the uploading party grants Fightcard.live a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display that image on the platform's public fighter directory and profile pages. Images are served through a protected proxy and are not made available at full resolution for download.
Fighters who wish to have their public profile removed or their photo taken down should contact their promoter, who can remove or unlink the profile from their account. Fighters who have created their own account on the platform can manage their public profile directly from their account settings.
We reserve the right to remove or hide profiles that contain inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate information.
AI-Generated Promotional Images
The platform may offer optional features that use artificial intelligence to enhance, modify, or generate promotional images of fighters based on images uploaded by the fighter or promoter.
These features are only available if the fighter has explicitly provided consent. If consent is withdrawn or declined, all AI image generation features will be disabled for that fighter.
AI-generated images are intended solely for promotional, informational, and event-related purposes, such as fight cards, event graphics, websites, applications, and broadcast displays.
While the platform aims to preserve the fighter's identity and appearance accurately, AI-generated images may not be an exact photographic representation of the original image. The platform does not guarantee absolute accuracy in AI-generated outputs.
By enabling this feature, the fighter grants the event organizer and platform a non-exclusive, revocable right to use AI-generated promotional images in connection with the relevant event and its promotion.
The platform is not responsible for inaccuracies, stylistic variations, or artistic interpretations introduced by automated image processing.
Availability, Changes and Termination
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update or change features at any time. We aim for reasonable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free at any time. The Service may be interrupted, delayed, degraded, or unavailable from time to time, including during events (for example on fight night) when demand is high. Unavailability may be due to connection issues, server or network failures, planned or emergency maintenance, third-party infrastructure (such as hosting, CDN, DNS, or internet service providers), power outages, security incidents, denial-of-service or other attacks, or other technical causes beyond our control.
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or cost (including lost revenue, missed operations, or reputational harm) arising from the Service being unavailable, slow, or failing to function, regardless of cause. You use the Service at your own risk in this regard.
We may suspend or terminate accounts or access for breaches of these terms, fraud, abuse, or non-payment. Users can stop using the Service at any time. Promoters can end their agreements according to the commercial terms in their agreement with us.
Force Majeure
We are not in breach of these terms and are not liable for any delay or failure to perform the Service to the extent that such delay or failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control ("force majeure"). Such events include but are not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemics, government actions or orders, strikes, failure or delay of third-party services (including hosting, networks, power, and telecommunications), denial-of-service or other cyber attacks, and any other cause that could not reasonably have been avoided. Our obligations under these terms are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event. We will use reasonable efforts to restore the Service as soon as practicable.
Liability and Indemnity
We are not responsible for how promoters run events, make matchmaking decisions, or comply with local laws and federation rules. We are not responsible for injuries, results, or disputes at events organized through the platform.
The limitations and exclusions in this section apply in particular to any claims arising from or related to service unavailability, downtime, connection or server issues, technical failures, or force majeure (see the Force Majeure section above).
To the extent allowed by applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount paid by the promoter in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred euros (€100), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by Danish law, without regard to conflict of law rules.
The courts of Denmark have jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising from these terms, unless mandatory law in your country provides otherwise. Consumers in the EU may have additional mandatory rights and can use local consumer dispute bodies where applicable.
